Joanne and Andy are delighted that Rob and Kim chose to tie the knot on their "retirement farm," the Ponderosa, not far from where they raised their family. They're also looking forward to telling you all sorts of things you don't know about Kim, pulled from the "I can't wait to tell this story at your wedding!" archives. (Kim's note: It's lies! All lies!)
As well as being Kim’s dad – a full time job – Andy is a junior high math and science teacher, a farmer, a welder, a mechanic, a butcher, an electrician, a tractor-restorer, and an all-around good guy to know. He loves to hunt and to laugh, collects antiques, and has always been there for Kim whenever she’s needed him… like when she crashed his snowmobile. Whoopsy! Thanks, Pa!!
As well as a proud mother of four, Joanne is a high school math teacher, amateur chef, would-be dog trainer (“Czar! Sit!”) and lover of puzzles. She can often be found commanding the bbq or in the flower garden, and insists on un-decorating the Christmas tree by herself every year. She’s a damn fine mother, and had this to say to Rob when she learned he proposed to Kim: “Thank you!” Hmmm… ;-)

Bill & Diane, or, as most of Rob's friends know them, "Rob's Folks", enjoy the retired life these days. When they are not breaking limbs, they enjoy camping, traveling, gardening, working around their home in Windsor, volunteering, and stickin' it to the man.
Bill, a retired engineer, always has plenty of projects on the go. When he's not out in the garden, working in his basement shop/lab, or fixing something around the house, Bill can be found spamming friends and family members on the computer. OK, I'll admit it... his forwards are funny and they're always clean.... and everyone is always BCC'ed to protect their privacy. I wish more people who shared fun stuff did it so meticulously!
Diane, a retired teacher and very active Red Cross volunteer, isn't often found sitting still. When she's not racing around Ontario to head up the next Red Cross meeting or having drinks hosted by the Lieutenant Governor General, you might be able to find Diane curled up in her chair with a good book, with Sleeman (Rob's cat) purring on her lap. Eyes closed or not... she's awake! :) And I wonder where I get my narcoleptic habits from....?
Both Bill and Diane have been excellent role models to Rob and he's very excited to show them both off to his new family at the wedding in Alberta.
